The Splendid Spoon sources fresh vegetables from the highest quality, non-GMO producers in the US. We are proud to work with many small farms within 200 miles of NYC and showcase them right on the label! Our menu is inspired by the changing seasons here in the Northeast.

Our Story


Let’s make healthy food choices easier.  Fresh veggies? Sure, we know we need at least five servings of those fiber and nutrient-rich foods, but we often fall short.   Preparing vegetables can take time that we don't have, or know-how we aren't equipped with.  Juicing leaves us hungry, plus it wastes all that great-for-you fiber.  And did you know that gently cooking your vegetables actually helps your body absorb MORE nutrients?

When I started The Splendid Spoon, I wanted real food that made me feel good about myself and nourished my body from the inside.  So I looked to my mom and grandmothers for the solution -- and the answer has been at the dinner table all along.  Soup!

The soup on the market was nothing like what I had growing up.  My mom picked vegetables and herbs from the garden, soaked dry legumes overnight, added a touch of sea salt and lots of love.  Her soup was simple, never overly seasoned, and tasted like the clean, fresh vegetables we grew in our back yard.

The Splendid Spoon’s mission is to make healthy, plant-based food choices easier.  Our micro-soupery promises at least two servings of local vegetables in every bowlful, and works with Registered Dieticians to create soups that are nutritionally sound and packed with flavor.  Enjoy as part of our Soup Cleanse or simply as a healthy meal or snack.
